A little bit unclean, toilet lid loose, every person that cme in at night woke me up. Very frustrating. The woman on reception was nice though and its not far of a walk into old town. I think this would suit young people who want to go out in the evening.
The first thing that caught me off guard was the outside before I got to the hostel door, it didn't look good at all and didn't make me feel safe. Nevertheless, entering the hostel the atmosphere is pleasant, it is very colorful. The real problems were the lack of breakfast included (even if it was written on the website), the fact that the room was in the basement and the fact that it is not the cleanest hostel I have been in.
I would only recommend it for short stays.

I rarely come back and stay in the places I have already visited, yet I was really glad to return to the Old Town Hostel in Gdansk as I remembered how cosy and welcoming this place is. Good location, very close to the centre, helpful Staff, self-catering facilities are all the great assets.
It would be nice to improve the entrance to the building, add some cups to the kitchen, and maybe rethink the possibility of gender-segregated dorms, but overall it was a very good experience:)

Nice hostel with friendly workers. Good and peaceful location, near old town. Price - quality was okay, but the breakfast could have been better, some fruits or juice could be a good add, now it was just some white bread, sugar cereals and some lukewarm sausages.

The hostel was basic. It wasn't very clean and I had to wear my sandals in the muddy bathroom and dusty rooms. The beds are not that comfy and the pillow was falling apart. There are small lockers big enough to fit a small day bag. There is not much of a hostel vibe and the people there were not super friendly. I was woken up by people every morning at 7 or 8am, and one day the receptionist came into the room yelling at some guy to check out when I tried to sleep in until 11 am.
